7 Up, 7 Down: Mariners Games I Attended In 2012
For a good portion of the 2012 season I was still working for the local TV station that airs Seattle Mariner baseball. Even on off days, I would request company tickets and attend a game as a fan. Yes, even … Continue reading

Seattle Will Support Their Team
A conversation with a co-worker this morning sparked my interest to see how much the Mariners home game attendance has dropped off since the amazing-never-to-be-duplicated-once-in-a-franchise season of 2001. Not shocking at all, they’ve declined. 2001 was the last time the … Continue reading
Baseball Can Bring Us Together
On Tuesday night, I got to do something I absolutely love to do; attend a baseball game. I’ve been to countless games in my life for work but the nostalgia, the enjoyment, and the passion of going as a fan… … Continue reading

A Day In The Life of Seattle Sports
“Sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can come together.” July 27th will end up being one of those Seattle Sports days I will likely never forget. I have to be honest, after the way the Mariners were … Continue reading

Mariners First and Foremost: 1st Career HR
Wow! Simply wow. Was Safeco Field rockin’ or what on Saturday, June 18th? A great crowd saw the Mariners play in an Interleague series with the NL’s best: the Philadelphia Phillies. The Mariners ace King Felix Hernandez was on the … Continue reading

Impressive Pineda. Impressive Beginnings.
Michael Pineda has been exciting to watch this season (Hello, Captain Obvious!). Yes, we all know he has burst onto the scene and exceeded most, if not all, expectations. Mariners Nation is simply giddy. King Felix doesn’t have to do … Continue reading

Remembering Harold Reynolds
Harold Reynolds was the 2nd baseman of the team I first fell in love with. He was cool, he was hip, he was relevant. He was the first All-Star I ever knew. When I see a “#4″ jersey, no matter … Continue reading

My Quick Thoughts on Ichiro(!)
I was asked about my thoughts on Ichiro by a close and respected baseball friend of mine. I have the feeling I was asked about him because he read a recent Seattle Times article about Ichiro’s “fit” on the team in 2011 and his upcoming 18+ million dollar salary. I’ve never understood a lot of the angst towards Ichi. I don’t want to see him go anywhere. Start as a Mariner, finish as a Mariner. Be like Edgar Martinez. Continue reading
